After watching the web tutorials I began to relize how simple creating a webpage really is. He went through teh steps very slow and with not too much detail but just enough to know how to make a basic webpage. I also learnd that em makes teh words italic which i did not know before. I thought he was smart for first showing you the actual code for the parts of teh webpage and the showed what they the codes look like on the actual html webpage.

25 days to make a difference

In the article, there was a 10 year old girl, named Laura. She decided to make a difference everyday up till christmas. SOme examples of her making a difference was helping her family make dinner and doing chorse around the house. She also wrote a letter to her school lunch monitors to thank them for all their time and effort they have put into there job to, make the students lunches as healthy and delicious as possible. She also talks about some of her friends making differences, as well. One of her friends Nina told us how she helped around the house by bringing down the laudry. She also took part in religious things like helping her church out. I think that this is a great idea that this girl made up, but i think this should be more than a 25 day thing it should be done everyday, to help teh community and the whole world.

When i first read the alert about this missing child i was very sad and wanted to help this family out. I also thought that this was a very good way to spread the news of their child and make sure everyone is aware of this. It also helps them out by showing everyoen a picture of him so if they see him, they can contact his parents.
But while reading the alert i did find it alittle suspicious because there was no when and where exactly. I also saw taht there was no "." in between the email address and when you try to send something there its doesn't send. When i googled his name it came up as a hoax and this kid wrote this alert to amuse his friends. He also does not live in canada where he said he lived he lives in texas. I think this joke may have seemed funny at first when you didn't really think about the consequences, but now that it has gone around the internet he should feel really stupid and wrong.

The post on the class blog about the links that a website has is the one im responding to. The NYtimes website has many different links on just the first page of it; it is a door of openings to other sites. I think that links are a very important part of websites because they show examples, explanations, and pictures of what your website is about.

Safe Blogging

The first video I watched was about posting different things on the internet that can be seen by everybody. Things like pictures, songs, and even statements can be seen by everybody on the web. My reaction to this is that you really need to think before you post ANYTHING on the web because you don’t know where you’ll see it next!

The second video I read was about how people say things to other people online that hurts the other person, because they don’t think it’s as harmful when it’s not face to face. My reaction to the video was if you don’t think you can come front to front with that person about what you are about to say that its probably meant to don’t be said at all!

The third video was about how you need to make sure anything on the internet that you don’t want public is either private or does not have personal information. My reaction to this video was that I am always going to be think about what I am putting up on the internet and is it safe too, also is it shown to everybody is kept private for only me or my friends to see.

Small world

Everyday I use many different devices that make this world become very small. I use computers when im at home, cellphones when im not at home, and just plain telephones to talk at home too. There is also transportation devices that help us move different things to other places around the world faster. All these differnt devices have made our world a much smaller place.
